MEGS is an independent lighting design consultancy which trades under the direction of Adam Meredith.
Over the past decade Adam has worked within museums and galleries, including roles as Exhibition Technical Services Manager at the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), the Head of Lighting at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), and Technical Operations at Museum Victoria. MEGS has also achieved numerous Illuminated Engineers Society (IES) awards for Lighting Design Excellence throughout his project history.
Adam’s interest in lighting efficiency and contemporary design has been supported by a range of international research placements including sponsored trips to the Guggenheim, Metropolitan and MOMA in New York, USA and the Louvre and Pompidou Centre in Paris, France. MEGS international contract work includes Australian Pavilion, Venice Biennale, National Baraviaran Museum, Munich , National Museum of African American History & Culture, Smithsonian, Washington, USA - and more recently at the Louvre, Galerie d’Apollon, Paris . International networks and strong industry connections means MEGS is up to date with current lighting trends and technologies, bringing energy and maintenance savings through design.
MEGS provides professional lighting services to artists, exhibition designers, conservators, curators, galleries and museums. Throughout all projects we ensure that all conservation & curatorial requirements are met, while working within the international standards.
